I spent the last couple of hours moving stuff around in the room.  I how that the changes work out.  I am publishing the first 4 recordings now and tomorrow I might be able to cut out the sections I want and dump the rest.  I have noticed that Harddrive prices are coming down.  I might be able to get a couple more HD's by the end of this year.  Blue-Ray burners are almost to the point where is may be worth geting one for backups.

I have been nice out the last few days and I have cleaned up a lot of waste wood but, I still have a lot more to go.  The pile I how to have done in another week or two.  I have to be care to not over due or I won't have enough energy for work.

I have been recording some TV shows with my Tuner card and there is some sections of shows that I would like to keep but Media Center doesn't have video editing built in so I had to find a way around it.  Windows Movie Make doesn't edit videos it only snaps clips together.  Adobe premiere does not reconize the format of media center but does read avi that Movie Maker can output.  Movie make can read the Media Center files so it is a time consuming work around but it gets the job done.

The most annoying commercial on currently is that dumb freecreditreport.com ad.  The thing about it is the commercial advertises getting a free credit report however it have to sign up for Triple Advantage.  You don't always get something for free, but the real site to get a free credit report is Annualcreditreport.com.

I have been trying out the New Microsoft Server 2008 and it is different to say the least.  Multiple install options, and it doesn't install anything that it doesn't use.  I still have much more to experiment with and I hope to pickup things quickly.  I havn't played Diablo 2 in so long, but I did install it today.  I never played as the necromancer before and I am enjoying it so far.  The necromancer is much easier to play with.  I takes sometime to level up but the character if played right I should be able to beat the game fairly quickly.

I have a bunch of useful utilities that I have found to add to the site.  They are fairly useful and some are free while some are pay to use.  I will be adding links to them soon.

Getting more from Vista seems to be quite the challenge.  With so much complication of things performence gets worse.  I installed Vista SP1 and it was slower.  I mean so slow I almost uninstalled it but, SuperFetch was the problem.  SuperFetch makes Vista faster right...Well yes until you install SP1 and the Cache is erased.  I am going to start a Vista performence section and will add the bits I find to it.

While I am working but not much, I am updating the site.  The Windows Vista Service Pack 1 has finally been released.  It is only available however on the MSDN site and you must log in to retieve the file.  I am sure that it is already out in a torrent for those that can't wait.  If everyone is lucky the SP1 release will fix most issues and futher patches will solve the rest.

There is many interesting articles on Popular Mechanics.  New technologies in Power and Bridge top the Catagoies.  Fusion power is the biggest technology advancement that will be hopefully ready by around 2035.  The amount of energy that the world uses it only going to increase and having a good way to generate that energy that will not destroy the plant is really needed soon.  Not only is there a lot more research and development for power generation going on but, also more is happening in auto and aerospace industries.  Virgin Alantic has added Hydrogen fuel cell Limos to there fleet.  While a small step it may force other airline to start showing more greener sides of the business as it continues to be a large factor in people minds.

While making attempts to install Apache, PHP and, MySQL on my Vista system didn't go a smooth as I would have liked I finally managed to get all three installed.  I didn't accomplish it myself I used WAMP Server and it was all done.  This tool installed and configured everything.  I made life much easier than manual install.  Intalling Apache was easy just a couple setting, but PHP didn't like Vista at all.

Now that I have these installed I can start working on a project that I have prodering over the last few weeks.  I am going to attempt to create a Launch Log, using PHP and MySQL.  This would make it web enabled and also be accessable by Applications.  While I do not know how it will come out since I do not have the skills yet to do such a project I am going to learn along the way.  I have not desgined the interface or backend at all yet but, that is the next step.

The other project I have in mined is a Linux tool to easily create a backup.  I am sure there are many tools for Linux backup but, I have on in mind that would hopefully work easily for a several backup options with out have to deal with the console.  The Console in Linux is powerful but, not a fast as a graphical aproach would be.  More will be available in the projects section soon on both.
